A RESOLUTION AWARDING CROPLAND RENTAL CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran acquired property at 20400 County Road 50 on June 1, 2018;
and
WHEREAS, Jerry Vollrath had an existing arrangement with the previous property owner to farm the
approximately 22 tillable acres in 2018 for an amount of $1,480 and the City desires to honor that
arrangement; and
WHEREAS, the City accepts bids for cropland rentals in two year increments next scheduled for the
year 2020 and wishes to make arrangements for 2019; and
WHEREAS, Jerry Vollrath is willing to match a bid rate of $160.00/acre for the approximately 22 acres
of tillable land for 2019;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CORCORAN, MN:
• The City Administrator is hereby authorized to enter into a two-year (2018 – 2019) contract
with Jerry Vollrath in the name of the City of Corcoran for the rental of approximately 22
tillable acres of crop land located on the property at 20400 County Road 50 in the amount of
$1,480.00 for 2018 and $160.00/acre for 2019.
