WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran initiated an update to it
March 14, 2019
s Comprehensive Plan in 2017,
consistent with the requirement in state law; and
WHEREAS, the City has held numerous open houses, workshops and meetings to discuss
each element of the plan; and;
WHEREAS,

e City has communicated to residents, property owners and other stakeholders
through individual inquiries, newsletters, the City website and news releases to local press; and
WHEREAS, the City may continue to make non -substantive changes to the Comprehensive
Plan Update; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Trails
recommends approval with edits;
WHEREAS, the Plannin
recommends approval;
Commission reviewed the Plan at a duly called meeting and
ission
g Commreviewed the Plan at a duly called Public Hearing and
WHEREAS, the required six-month review by adjacent and affected jurisdictions has been
completed and comments and feedback have been noted and incorporated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORCORAN7 MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the submittal of the 2040
Corcoran Comprehensive Plan update to the Metropolitan Council
FURTHER, approval of the Comprehensive Plan u
review and response by the Metropolitan Council.
