APPROVING VACATION OF DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS WITHIN THE
"RAVINIA" SUBDIVISION (CITY FILE 19-016)
WHEREAS, U.S. Home Corporation (dba Lennar) ("the applicant") has requested approval of an
easement vacation within the subdivision:
WHEREAS, the subdivision will provide new drainage and utility easements adjacent to new lot
lines and over water bodies as required by City Code;
WHEREAS, the applicant has requested vacation of the existing easements legally described
as follows:
The drainage and utility easements over all of Outlot A, RAVINIA 9TH ADDITION,
according to the recorded plat thereof, Hennepin County, Minnesota, as dedicated on
the plat.
WHEREAS, the Corcoran City Council considered this item at a Public Hearing;
WHEREAS, notice of the public hearing was mailed to all landowners of property directly
abutting the area to be vacated and to all utility companies serving the area;
WHEREAS, notice of the public hearing was published in the official newspaper;
WHEREAS, the City finds that the existing drainage and utility easements are no longer
required as new easements will be dedicated with the plat for the Ravinia 13th Addition; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORCORAN, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the following vacation,
subject to the following conditions:
1. The applicant must record the resolution approving the vacation at Hennepin County and
provide the City of Corcoran with proof of recording.
2. The applicant must record the resolution approving the vacation prior to recording the
final plat for Ravinia 12th Addition.
