City Council Work Session Minutes
July 12, 2018 — 5:45pm
The Corcoran City Council met on July 12, 2018 in work session, at City Hall in Corcoran,
Minnesota.
Present were Mayor Thomas, Councilor Bottema, Councilor Keefe, and Councilor LaFave.
Councilor Dejewski was excused.
Also present were City Administrator Martens, Director of Public Safety Gottschalk, Works Director
Mattson, and City Clerk/Administrative Services Coordinator Beise
1. Call to Order/ Roll Call
Mayor Thomas called the work session to order at 5 :49pm
2. 2019 Budget Discussion
City Administrator Martens presented the report outlining the major changes from the 2018 budget.
Council discussed staffing, road maintenance, and contracts. Per consensus, Council directed staff
to bring back another draft budget with a reduction to keep the tax rate flat.
3. Financial Management Plat Update
City Administrator Martens outlined the items that would be considered in the Financial
Management Plan and noted it would be presented to Council on July 26t"
4. Unscheduled Items
No unscheduled items were discussed.
5. Adjournment
MOTION: made by Keefe, seconded by LaFave to adjourn.
Voting Aye: Thomas, Bottema, Keefe, and LaFave
(Motion carried 4:0)
Meeting adjourned at 6 :51 pm.
