A RESOLUTION HONORING OUTGOING COUNCILMEMBER TONYA LAFAVE
WHEREAS, Tonya LaFave was elected to the City Council for a term beginning January 1,
2015; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember LaFave has placed considerable time, effort, and thought into her
role of City Councilmember; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember LaFave has resigned from the Council effective August 30, 2018
as she has moved out of the City of Corcoran; and
WHEREAS, during her tenure as Councilmember, Corcoran improved its staffing structure,
completed the downtown utility and street improvement project, reviewed and approved several
development proposals, updated the comprehensive plan, upgraded its bond rating, increased
communication, purchased park land, received recognition as a safe city, updated its mission,
vision, values and established action steps to achieve the goals of the city; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember LaFave has also dedicated significant time and energy to the City
of Corcoran as a member of the Northwest Area Jaycees; and
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran wishes to recog

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Corcoran hereby honors Tonya
LaFave for her distinguished service to the City of Corcoran.
