HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2018-35 Approving Special Home Occupation License-MatterCity of Corcoran County of Hennepin State of Minnesota Motion By: Keefe Seconded By: Botterna April 26, 2018 APPROVING SPECIAL HOME OCCUPATION FOR PATRICK MATTER AT 19320 MYSTIQUE DRIVE (PID 12-119-23-43-0015) (CITY FILE 18-009) WHEREAS, the landowner has requested approval of a Special Home Occupation License to allow the sale and repair of motorcycles and vehicles on property legally described as follows: Lot 7, Block 3, Brandywine Addition NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORCORAN, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request for a Special Home Occupation License, subject to the following conditions: 1. A Special Home Occupation License is approved to allow the sale and repair of motorcycles and vehicles, in accordance with the application received by the City on February 28, 2018, except as amended by this resolution. 2. The Special Home Occupation License is issued to Patrick Matter for the sale and repair of motorcycles and vehicles. This permit is not transferrable. If the business ceases, if ownership changes, or if the individual to whom the license has been issued ceases to be a legal resident of the subject premises, the Special Home Occupation License is automatically revoked. 3. The Special Home Occupation License is approved based on the following findings: a. There are no employees who do not reside in the home. b. Business operations consist of the repair and sale of motorcycles and vehicles. c. The repair of motorcycles and vehicles will take place inside the accessory building. d. It is located in the Rural Residential zoning district. 4. Business vehicle storage shall be in the existing accessory building. No outside storage of vehicles for sale is permitted. 5. All vehicle repair shall take place in the accessory building and may not generate noise beyond state standards. 6. The two customer parking spaces shall be located on an improved surface. 7. No more than 10 business related trips per day are permitted for the special home occupation. 8. No employees, other than those who reside in the home, shall be permitted. 9. The applicant shall abide by and remain in compliance with all applicable Federal, State and City rules and regulations. No advertising signage for the business shall be allowed that can be viewed from outside the property. 11. The site must comply with all state, federal and local regulations. 12. Storage of personal vehicles and /or equipment must comply with Section 1060.010 of the Zoning Ordinance. 13. The Special Home Occupation License shall be issued in accordance with the provisions outlined in Section 1030.100 of the Zoning Ordinance. The City will revoke or modify the Special Home Occupation License upon a finding that conditions have changed to warrant revocation or modification of the license.
