A RESOLUTION APPROVING A REQUEST FOR METROPOLITAN AGRICULTURAL
PRESERVE DESIGNATION FOR FOUR PARCELS TOTALING 139.9 ACRES OF LAND
OWNED BY ERNIE MAYERS, JEAN SCHLOSSER, PATRICK AND KATHERINE LARKIN,
CRAIG AND MARY JO STUBSTAD, JOSEPH F. LARKIN AND TIMOTHY J. LARKIN. (PID
28- 119 -23 -13 -0002, 28- 119 -23 -12 -0001, 27- 119 -23 -32 -00023 27- 119 -23 -22 -0002)
WHEREAS, the below described parcels are located outside of the Metropolitan Urban Service
Area (MUSA);
WHEREAS, the owner of the described parcels has made official application for their
designation as an agricultural preserve; and
WHEREAS, the requirements regarding size, covenants, development density and other
stipulations of the act are deemed legally satisfied.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORCORAN, MINNESOTA, that the following property legally described below is hereby
designated as Agricultural Preserve:
P/D: 28- 119 -23 -12 -0001
The Northwest % of the Northeast % and the Northeast % of the Northeast %, Section
28, Township 119, Range 23 of Hennepin County, Minnesota.
EXCEPT: That part of the Northeast% of the Northeast% lying North of the South 330
feet thereof.
ALSO EXCEPT. That part of the Northwest % of the Northeast X lying Northwesterly of
the following described line: Commencing at a point on the South line of said Northwest
of the Northeast % 260 feet Easterly of the Southwest corner of said Northwest % of
the Northeast %, as measured along said South line; thence Northeasterly to a point on
the East line of said Northwest% of the Northeast % 460 feet South of the Northeast
corner of said Northwest % of the Northeast %, as measured along the East line of said
Northwest % of the Northeast %, and there terminating located in Section 28, Township
119, Range 23 of Hennepin County, Minnesota.

The South % of the Northeast % of Section 28, Township 119, Range 23 of Hennepin
County, Minnesota.
EXCEPT: The East 78 feet of the South 435.55 feet thereof.

The West % of the Northwest % of the Southwest % of Section 27, Township 119,
Range 23 of Hennepin County, Minnesota.

The Southwest X of the Northwest X West of Creek and the West 318 of the Northwest
X of the Northwest X of Section 27, Township 119, Range 23 of Hennepin County,
Minnesota.
EXCEPT. The West 122 feet of the South 435.6 feet of the said Northwest X.
ALSO EXCEPT. The Easterly 200 feet of the Southerly 435.60 feet of the Westerly
322 feet of the said Southwest X of the Northwest X.
ALSO EXCEPT. That part of the Southwest X of the Northwest X of Section 27,
Township 119, Range 23 described as follows. Beginning at the intersection of the south
line of said Southwest X of the Northwest X with a line 322 feet Easterly of, measured
at a right angle to and parallel with the west line of said Southwest X of the Northwest
X; thence Northerly along said parallel line to the center line of the South Fork of Rush
Creek; thence Southeasterly, Easterly and Southerly along the center line of said Creek
to the intersection with a line 33 feet Northerly of measured at a right angle to and
parallel with the South line of said Southwest X of the Northwest X; thence Southerly
parallel with said West line to the said South line, thence Westerly along said South line
to the point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the above properties be classified as "Agricultural Preserve" in
the 2030 Future Land Use Plan of the Comprehensive Plan and the related zoning district,
which will create more stringent zoning for the duration of the requested designation. No
subdivisions can occur unless and until said properties are removed from the Ag Preserve
Program.
