A RESOLUTION APPROVING A REQUEST FOR METROPOLITAN AGRICULTURAL
PRESERVE DESIGNATION FOR ONE PARCELS TOTALING 73.3 ACRES OF LAND
OWNED BY E RN I E MAYE RS, JAMES WAWRA AND LI LIAN WAWRA (PID 27- 119- 23 -23-
0002)
WHEREAS, the below described parcels are located outside of the Metropolitan Urban Service
Area (MUSA);
WHEREAS, the owner of the described parcels has made official application for their
designation as an agricultural preserve; and
WHEREAS, the requirements regarding size, covenants, development density and other
stipulations of the act are deemed legally satisfied.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORCORAN, MINNESOTA, that the following property legally described below is hereby
designated as Agricultural Preserve:
East % of the Northwest % of the Southwest % and commencing at the Southeast corner
of the Southwest % of the Northwest % thence North to the Northeast corner thereof
thence West to the creek thence Southerly along creek to the South line of the
Northwest % thence East to a point 961.65 feet East from the Southwest corner thereof
thence at an angle to the left of 93 degrees 30 minutes a distance of 208.2 feet thence at
an angle to the right of 93 degrees 30 minutes a distance of 208.2 feet thence at an
angle to the right of 93 degrees 30 minutes a distance of 208.2 feet to the South line of
the Northwest % thence East to the beginning also to the East 518 of the Northwest % of
the Northwest % except roads.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the above properties be classified as "Agricultural Preserve" in
the 2030 Future Land Use Plan of the Comprehensive Plan and the related zoning district,
which will create more stringent zoning for the duration of the requested designation. No
subdivisions can occur unless and until said properties are removed from the Ag Preserve
Program.
