CITY OF CORCORAN
City Council Special Meeting Minutes
March 31, 2016 - 6:00pm
The Corcoran City Council met on March 31, 2016, at City Hall in Corcoran, MN.
Present were Mayor Guenthner, Councilor Hank, Councilor Keefe, Councilor LaFave, and Councilor
Thomas.
Also present were City Administrator Martens and City Clerk/Administrative Services Coordinator
Beise.
1. Call to Order / Roll Call
Mayor Guenthner called the meeting to order at 6:08pm.
2. Pledge of Allegiance

4. Open Forum
No persons were present for open forum.
5. Closed Session
a. Consider an Offer for the Purchase of Real Estate — Easement Acquisition for the Downtown
Utility and Street Improvement Project

Mayor Guenthner stated:
"The City Council is going into closed session to consider an offer for the purchase of real estate"
"Under the authority of Minn. Stat. § 13D.05 subd. 3(c)(3) the City is permitted to close a meeting to
consider offers and counter -offers for the purchase of real estate.
The city council is going into closed session to consider an offer for the purchase of real estate; the
following 4 properties are the subject of the closed meeting:
20045 County Road 10;
Unassigned property; PID 26- 119 -23 -11 -0006; south of 20101 County Road 50
9925 County Road 10;
20175 County Road 50"
Mayor Guenthner recessed the regular meeting at 6:09 pm.
Mayor Guenthner reconvened the regular meeting at 7:06pm.
Mayor Guenthner stated:
"In the closed session the city council discussed an offer for the purchase of real estate; as of result
the discussion in closed session to adopt a resolution to move and approve a resolution."
MOTION: made by Keefe, seconded by Thomas to approve Resolution 2016 -21 Authorizing
Condemnation and Notice of Intent to Take Possession of a Portion of the Property Located at
20175 County Road 50 for The Corcoran Downtown Utility and Street Improvement Project
Voting Aye: Guenthner, Hank, Keefe LaFave, and Thomas
(Motion carried 5:0)

The Council liaison calendar was not reviewed, but was available in the Council Packet.
Adjournment
MOTION: made by Hank, seconded by LaFave to adjourn.
Voting Aye: Guenthner, Hank, Keefe LaFave, and Thomas
(Motion carried 5:0)
