RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE ORDERING OF IMPROVEMENTS
AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE DOWNTOWN
UTILITY AND STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
Section 1. Recitals
April 14, 2016
1.01. The City of Corcoran, Minnesota (the "City ") is authorized under
Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, as amended (the "Act') to make public improvements
to municipal streets and to finance the cost of such improvements through the use of
special assessments.
1.02. The City Council (the "Council') of the City has previously commissioned
the City Engineer to conduct a feasibility study for street and utility improvements to
Downtown Improvement Project (the "Improvements "). The City received the feasibility
study for the Improvements on June 25, 2015.
1.03. The Council held a public hearing on the Improvements on July 23, 2015,
and approved the feasibility study, found the Improvements to feasible and necessary,
and ordered the preparation of plans and specifications for the Improvements by
Resolution No. 2015 -42, adopted on the same date.
1.04. On October 22, 2015, the Council held a duly noticed public hearing on
the proposed assessment rolls for the Improvements and adopted the assessment rolls
by Resolution No. 2015 -60.
Section 2. Actions Ratified.
2.01. The Council hereby ratifies its finding that the Improvements are
necessary, cost - effective and feasible, and clarifies and ratifies its intent to order the
Improvements at a total cost not to exceed $3,776,622.
2.02. The Council hereby ratifies the Plans and Specifications prepared by the
City Engineer and on file in the office of the City Clerk.
2.03. The Council hereby ratifies its actions in adopting the assessment roll for
the Improvements.
