A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE 2016 DOWNTOWN
CORCORAN SEWER & WATER IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, pursuant to Advertisement for Bids for the 2016 Downtown Corcoran Sewer &
Water Improvements, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has verified Lametti & Sons, Inc. is the lowest responsible
bidder, and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved proceeding with the Base Bid and Alternates 1 and 3
as presented at the February 25, 2016 City Council meeting, and
WHEREAS, City is negotiating in good faith agreements for easements, right of entry, and
issuing water and utility fees, and
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran is currently negotiating sale of bonds for financing,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1) The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with
Lametti & Sons, Inc for the Base Bid and Alternates 1 and 3 for a total contract
amount of $3,001,800.00.
2) Award is contingent upon successful financing by City through utility bonds.
3) The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next two lowest
bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
4) The City will obtain easements through negotiation or eminent domain if necessary.
