RESOLUTION APPOINTING JEANIE HEINECKE TO THE POSITION OF DEPUTY CLERK
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran, Minnesota (the "City ") has the authority to hire, fire,
promote, demote and transfer all employees of the City and to establish the organizational
structure of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City has reviewed the organizational structure of the Administration
Department and recommended changes to improve the overall service and efficiency of the
City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the reorganization of the Administration
Department by approving Resolution 2015 -17 at the April 9, 2015 City Council meeting
eliminating the positions of City Clerk and Administrative Support/Payroll Benefits Coordinator;
and established the position of Deputy Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the City initiated an internal recruitment process in which eligible candidates
were interviewed and Jeanie Heinecke was selected as the preferred candidate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORCORAN, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the following:
1. The above - referenced recitals are incorporated herein to this Resolution;
2. Jeanie Heinecke is appointed Deputy Clerk effective upon the start date of the City
Clerk/Administrative Services Coordinator, anticipated to be June 18, 2015 at the top
step of Grade 8;
3. Until that time Jeanie Heinecke will continue in the position of City Clerk with the current
pay rate.
