A RESOLUTION APPROVING A REQUEST FOR METROPOLITAN AGRICULTURAL
PRESERVE DESIGNATION AND INITIATING EXPIRATION OF THE DESIGNATION FOR
TWO PARCELS TOTALING 66.06 ACRES OF LAND OWNED BY JEFFREY J. VOLLRATH
AND KART M. VOLLRATH (PID 21- 119 -23 -22 -0001 AND PID 16- 119 -23 -33 -0003)
WHEREAS, the below described parcels are located outside of the Metropolitan Urban Service
Area (MUSA);
WHEREAS, the owners of the described parcels have made official application for their
designation as an agricultural preserve; and
WHEREAS, the owners have also submitted notice of withdrawal, which would remove the
properties from Agricultural Preserve in 8 years;
WHEREAS, the requirements regarding size, covenants, development density and other
stipulations of the act are deemed legally satisfied.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORCORAN, MINNESOTA, that the following properties legally described below are hereby
designated as Agricultural Preserve:
PID: 21- 119 -23 -22 -0001
Northwest % of Northwest % except the road in Section 21, Township 119, Range 23 of
Hennepin Couny, Minnesota.
PID: 16-119-23-33-0003
That part of Southwest % of Southwest Y4 lying South of North 340.3feet thereof except
the roads in Section 16, Township 119, Range 23 of Hennepin County, Minnesota.
FURTHERMORE, approval of the Agricultural Preserve Designation is approved contingent
upon filing both the entry and withdrawal applications concurrently.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the above properties are classified as "Agricultural Preserve" in
the 2030 Future Land Use Plan of the Comprehensive Plan and the related zoning district,
which will create more stringent zoning for the duration of the requested designation. No
subdivisions can occur unless and until said properties are removed from the Agricultural
Preserve Program.
