Corcoran Parks and Trails Commission
Minutes
October 23, 2014 - 7:00 PM
The Corcoran Parks and Trails Commission met on October 21, 2014, at City Hall in Corcoran,
Minnesota. Present were Commissioners Anderson, Dale, Meister, Nybo, Regan, and Strehler.
Absent: Commissioners Krueger, Robran, and Tessmer.
Also present were City Administrator Martens, Administrative Support /Payroll and Benefit
Coordinator Smith - Arens, and Councilor Cossette.
Commissioner Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm

a. Agenda
Motion: made by Nybo, seconded by Regan to approve the Agenda as presented
Voting Aye: Anderson, Dale, Meister, Nybo, Regan, Strehler (Motion carried 6:0)
b. Minutes 09/23/2014
Motion: made by Meister, seconded by Nybo to approve the Minutes as presented
Voting Aye: Anderson, Dale, Meister, Nybo, Strehler; Abstaining: Regan (Motion carried 5:0)

6. Reports /Information
a. Active Corcoran Planning Applications — City Administrator Brad Martens updated
commissioners.
7. Old /Unfinished Business
a. Park Planning — Roehlke Property
Commission members took part in a ranking process to develop priorities for Roehlke property.
Top Priorities: baseball fields, softball fields, multi - purpose rectangular fields, park shelter,
amphitheater; Secondary priorities: open area /picnic area, hockey /skating area, playground
equipment, trails, concession stand. Commission discussed next steps and agreed to wait until
2015 for any further planning at direction of new City Council.

a. City Council Request — Park Planning Action Plan
Commission members discussed steps to create an action plan for planning and developing the
future park system as requested by Council
9. Subcommittee & Miscellaneous Reports
a. City Council Liaison — Councilor Cossette
b. Athletic Association — Commissioner Dale shared 2015 schedule.
c. Park Dedication Fund - Informational
