RESOLUTION NO. 2014 -77

A RESOLUTION APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE
TEXT OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CORCORAN CITY CODE, ENTITLED CORCORAN
SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran initiated an amendment to update the City Code to address
changes to the park dedication requirements; and;
WHEREAS, the amendment would be consistent with the 2030 Comprehensive Plan; and;
WHEREAS, the amendment would be consistent with other City Code standards and City
policies; and;
WHEREAS, the amendment would allow help to ensure that the park dedication policy allows
the City to implement the adopted parks and trails plan, and;
WHEREAS, the Parks and Trails Commission has reviewed the proposed text amendments at a
duly called public meeting and recommends approval, and;
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the proposed text amendments at a duly
called public hearing and recommends approval, and;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Corcoran,
Minnesota, that it does approve the Subdivision Ordinance text amendment, based upon the
finding that the proposed amendments would be consistent with State law and the City's
Comprehensive Plan, and compatible with other provisions of the City Code.
