A RESOLUTION HONORING FORMER MAYOR FRANK LARKIN
November 24, 2014
WHEREAS, Frank Larkin was elected as the second Mayor of Corcoran for an original term beginning in 1967;
and
WHEREAS, Frank Larkin subsequently was elected to six additional terms through 1980; and
WHEREAS, Frank Larkin further served as Mayor another three terms from 1993 through 1998, serving a total
of 20 years as Mayor of Corcoran; and
WHEREAS, during his tenures as Mayor, Corcoran transitioned from the Village of Corcoran to the City of
Corcoran and became a Charter City; and
WHEREAS, Frank Larkin's impact on the City of Corcoran was lasting and substantial; and
WHEREAS, Frank Larkin, passed on November 16, 2014 at the age of 98; and
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran recognizes the time, energy, dedication and leadership provided by Frank
Larkin to the City of Corcoran:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Corcoran, that the City Council hereby honors the
years of service and dedication by Frank Larkin to the City of Corcoran and residents of the City.
