HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2014-48 - Amending Organization StructureCity of Corcoran County of Hennepin State of Minnesota CITY OF CORCORAN HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2014 -48 Motion By: Cossette Seconded By: Thomas August 28, 2014 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF THE CITY OF CORCORAN WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran, Minnesota (the "City ") has the authority to hire, fire, promote, demote and transfer all employees of the City and to establish the organizational structure of the City; and WHEREAS, the City has reviewed the organizational structure of the City and recommends changes to improve the overall service and efficiency of the City; and WHEREAS, the proposed reorganization is intended solely to improve the efficiency of the organization and services to the public and is not due to any deficient performance by employees; and WHEREAS, the impacted employees have been provided verbal notice of the proposed reorganization; and WHEREAS, staff has updated the relevant job description for the proposed reorganization which is attached to this Resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORCORAN, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the following: 1. The above - referenced recitals are incorporated herein to this Resolution; 2. Effective November 29, 2014, the Police Department shall be under the supervision and direction of the City Administrator; 3. The City Administrator is authorized to update the employee handbook and other applicable documents to reflect the organizational structure change at that time.
