Corcoran Parks and Trails Commission
Minutes
July 15, 2014 - 7:00 PM
The Corcoran Parks and Trails Commission met on July 15, 2014, at City Hall in Corcoran,
Minnesota. Present were Commissioners - Anderson, Tessmer, Nybo, Meister, Krueger, Dale,
Robran, Strehler; Absent: Commissioner Regan.
Also present were City Administrator Martens, Public Works Superintendent Meister, and Council
Liaison Councilor Cossette
Commissioner Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm

3. Agenda Approval
a. Agenda
Motion: made by Robran, seconded by Dale to approve the Agenda as presented.
Voting Aye: Anderson, Dale, Krueger, Meister, Nybo, Robran, Strehler, and Tessmer
(Motion carried 8:0)
b. Minutes 06/24/2014
Motion: made by Robran seconded by Krueger to approve the Minutes as amended to include
attendance of Commissioners present.
Voting Aye: Anderson, Dale, Krueger, Meister, Nybo, Robran, Strehler, and Tessmer
(Motion carried 8:0)

5. Presentations — None
6. Reports /Information
a. Park Update — Pat Meister
Heard an update from Pat Meister on activities and maintenance of park facilities.
b. Active Corcoran Planning Applications — Informational no action required
7. Old /Unfinished Business
a. Scoreboard Fundraising Request
The Commission was given an update on the project. Discussion took place on the proposal.
Motion: made by Tessmer seconded by Strehler to recommend up to $14,000 of Park Dedication
funds be spent towards the purchase and installation of a scoreboard on Snyder Field.
Voting Aye: Anderson, Dale, Krueger, Meister, Nybo, Robran, Strehler, and Tessmer
(Motion carried 8:0)
8. New Business
a. Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Values Statement, Strategic Goals
The City Administrator presented the adopted Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Values
Statement, and Strategic Goals.
b. Park Planning Status Report
Commissioners discussed information as presented in staff report. Consensus to focus on the
Roehlke property at the August Parks and Trails Commission meeting.

a. City Council Liaison
Councilor Cossette provided update on City Council activities
b. Athletic Association
Commissioner Dale provided update on Corcoran Athletic Association activities
