RESOLUTION NO. 2005 -77
MOTION BY MEMBER: Grabowski
SECONDED BY MEMBER: Thomas
Resolution in Support of Creating a Subcommittee for the Purpose of Pursuing Collaboration
between the City of Corcoran and the Corcoran Lions Club
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran is committed to long term planning and the desire to maintain and
enhance the living and working environment of its residents; and
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran adopted a Comprehensive Plan to guide them in achieving these goals;
and
WHEREAS, as part of the Comprehensive Plan the City created a Parks & Trails Commission and
adopted a Parks and Trails Plan which focuses on the desire to provide a quality system that will
compliment the existing amenities; and
WHEREAS, in an effort to achieve a quality system the City with the Corcoran Lions should address the
potential for sharing facilities and creating a central location for park and athletic facilities, and possible
other public facilities.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Corcoran does hereby authorize the
creation of a subcommittee that shall include representation from the City Council, the Corcoran Lions
Club, the Parks & Trails Commission, the Planning Commission, and the Corcoran Jaycees; and
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the task of this subcommittee shall be to address long -range
planning that will create a positive benefit for all.
