RESOLUTION 2002 —40

A RESOLUTION FOR VARIANCE
TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION OF AN ACCESSORY BUILDING 345 SQUARE FEET IN SIZE
TO HOUSE EQUIPMENT RELATED TO TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICE ON
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 23400 COUNTY ROAD 10.
WHEREAS, Verizon Wireless LLC, as applicant has requested a variance to construct an
accessory structure that is 345 square feet in size; and
WHEREAS, the ordinance limits the size of accessory structures for telecommunication services
to 300 square feet in size and limits the number of buildings to one per user; and
WHEREAS, the applicant has indicated the need to house a generator and other equipment that is
not feasible in 300 square feet; and
WI IEREAS,The Corcoran Planning Commission held a public hearing on June 6, 2002; and
WHEREAS,the Planning Commission voted 6-0 to recommend approval of the request; and
WHEREAS, The Corcoran City Council considers public testimony and the recommendation of
the Planning Commission in making a decision.
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Corcoran finds the
following:
FINDINGS OF FACT
1. The property is zoned C-2
2. The approval of the CUP for the telecommunication tower requires collocation.
3. The accessory structure size will allow all equipment storage to be indoors.
4. The equipment cannot be contained within a 300 square structure.
Based on the above findings,the Corcoran City Council hereby approves a site plan and variance to allow
an accessory structure 345 square feet in size to house telecommunication equipment, subject to the
following conditions:
1. Appropriate building permits shall be acquired prior to construction.
2. All equipment shall be stored inside of the building.
