A RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT FOR ASSESSING SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Corcoran(City) has the right to privately contract for
assessing services; and
WHEREAS, assessing services have been provided by"The Greater Northwest Office of Real
Estate Assessment" (Assessor) for the past several years, and
WHEREAS, the City has the right to continue into contract with the Assessor, or has the right to
seek competitive proposals.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Corcoran has
hereby determined that the services being provided by The Greater Northwest Office of Real Estate
Assessment meet the needs of the City and therefore approve entering into a new contract for the
period of October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003 at a total annual cost of$39,912.

CONTRACT FOR ASSESSING SERVICES
This contract is made this first day of October, 2002, by and between the City of Corcoran, Hennepin County,
Minnesota (hereinafter called the"Municipality")and The Greater Northwest Office of Real Estate Assessment, P.O.
Box 581863, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55458-1863, a Minnesota partnership(hereinafter called the"Contractor")
The Contractors represent that they are Licensed Minnesota Assessors as required in Chapter 273 of Minnesota
Statutes and that they are qualified real estate appraisers.
ASSESSING SERVICES: The Municipality hereby contracts for and the Contractors hereby agree to cooperate with
officials of the Municipality and the County of Hennepin in performing 2003 assessment services as defined in
Minnesota Statutes. The Municipality agrees and acknowledges that the manner and the method used in the
performance of the assessment duties will be under the control and direction of said Contractors.
CONTRACT PRICE: In consideration of the services rendered by the Contractors, the Municipality shall pay to the
Contractors at the above stated address, the sum of$39,912, payable in twelve (12) installments of$3,326
beginning by the last day of October, 2002 and ending by the last day of September, 2003.
The following services are to be billed separately on a one time basis.
NONE.
In order for any increase to be effective for the 2004 contract the increase must be presented to the Municipality on
or before May 1, 2003.
FURNISHING OF EQUIPMENT: The contractors shall provide all transportation necessary for the performance of
the services contracted for. The Municipality shall furnish all equipment and supplies necessary for the performance
of the services contracted for, including a current set of aerial photographs and Hennepin County Data fee.
ATTENDANCE AT COUNCIL MEETINGS: The Contractors shall attend the local board of review meeting on the
date selected by the Municipality and the Contractors and not to exceed three other Municipality council meetings
during the term of the contract.
LEGAL STATUS: The parties agree that the Contractors are not required to maintain office hours, shall not receive
retirement benefits, health insurance benefits, or any other fringe benefits offered to employees of the Municipality
and shall, in all respects, be deemed independent contractors.

A RESOLUTION APPROVING TOBACCO, BEER, AND LIQUOR LICENSES IN
THE CITY OF CORCORAN, MINNESOTA
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Corcoran that the following Tobacco, Liquor, and
Non-Intoxicating Malt Liquor Licenses are granted effective July 1, 2002 through June 30, 2003 to the
following Establishments and Licensees, provided appropriate application documents are submitted and the
Building Inspector approves permanent establishments to insure there are no safety hazards.
