ESTABLISHING CERTAIN EMPLOYEE BENEFIT LEVELS
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran has adopted an employee handbook; and
WHEREAS, certain benefit levels provided for in the employee handbook are to be set from time
to time by City Council resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the following benefit levels shall hereby be
established. The benefits listed are based on a 40-hour workweek. Employees hired after July 26,
2001 regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week shall be eligible for a pro-rated
benefit. Employees hired prior to July 26, 2001 regularly scheduled to work more than 24 hours
per week shall be eligible for a pro-rated benefit. The City of Corcoran is the Employer for
purposes of this resolution.
• Flexible Spending Account (FSA)— Employer re-imbursement based contribution of up
to $350 per calendar year. Employee option to contribute additional dollars.
• Health Insurance—Employer maximum contribution of$435 per month. (For reference
Family Medica High Option cost is $724.72 per month.)
• Dental Insurance—Not Available
• Term Life Insurance—Employer paid $10,000 policy cost. Employee option to purchase
additional insurance at cost.
• Short Term Disability(STD) Insurance—Not Available
• Long Term Disability (LTD) Insurance—Employer paid full policy cost.
• Safety Shoes— Employer contribution maximum reimbursement for actual cost of$125
per calendar year.
• PERA— Employer match of employee contribution plus .43% more.
• Cell Phone Non-payment —Employee subject to $50 administrative fee for non-payment
of city sponsored, employee personal charge, cell phone bill.
