HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2001-35 - Approving CUP for Accessory Structure 6215 Butterworth Lane City of Corcoran County of Hennepin State of Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 2001-35 Motion By: Gageby Seconded By: Thomas A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A CUP TO ALLOW ACCESSORY STRUCTURES TOTALING OVER 3175 SQUARE FEET IN AREA AT 6315 BUTTERWORTH LANE WHEREAS, Ken Guenthner, as applicant, has requested a CUP to allow the construction of an accessory building; and WHEREAS, the ordinance allows over 3175 square feet on parcels of 10 acres or more by CUP; and WHEREAS, the parcel in question is 10.75 acres in size and the total area of accessory structures requested is 3325 square feet; and WHEREAS, The Corcoran Planning Commission held a public hearing on May 3, 2001; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission voted 5-1 to recommend the Council approve the request; and WHEREAS, The Corcoran City Council considers the recommendation of the Planning Commission in making a decision. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Corcoran that CUP to allow 3325 square feet of accessory structure to be built at 6315 Butterworth Lane be and hereby is approved based on the following findings and subject to the listed conditions: a) The request is consistent with city plans and the geographical area involved. b) The use will not depreciate the area in which it is proposed. c) The use will not adversely impact the character of the surrounding area. d) The demonstrated need for such use has been provided by the applicant. e) The proposed use will not cause odors, dust, files, vermin, smoke, gas, noise, or vibration or impose hazards to life or property in the neighborhood. f) The use will not inherently lead to or encourage disturbing influences in the neighborhood. g) The building is proposed to house equipment with one animal stall and will be screened by vegetation on the property. • City of Corcoran County of Hennepin State of Minnesota CONDITIONS: 1. No commercial use of the buildings on the property shall be allowed. 2. Any modifications to the use or the facility shall require an amendment to the CUP. 3. The exterior finish should be complimentary to the existing structures on the property. The following voted in favor of said resolution: Bucher, Gageby and Thomas The following voted against the same: The following abstained from voting: Guenthner Whereupon said Resolution was declared carried.
