RESOLUTION NO. 2001 - 26

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Corcoran affirms that the health, safety and welfare of its citizens is a crucial
element to the services provided for by the city;and
WHEREAS, the North Memorial Ambulance service is a public service meeting the criteria of providing for the health,
safety and welfare not only to Corcoran residents but also to the residents of the surrounding communities;and
WHEREAS, in order to achieve a high standard of service and provide for life and safety needs in the community and
surrounding communities,the placement of an ambulance with easy access and shorter response time is crucial;and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Corcoran has hereby determined that the
placement of a trailer to house the North Memorial Ambulance Service employees on City property located at 8200 County
Road 116 will meet those standards and achieve the goals in which it is intended;and
FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED, that as a condition of the ambulance trailer being housed on City property it will be the
responsibility of the North Memorial Ambulance Service to provide a trailer to its employees that meets the ADA
standards;and
FURTHERMORE,BE IT RESOLVED that it is hereby understood that this is a temporary site location until such time as a
permanent location can be found, or a permanent building can be acquired. That the City of Corcoran will strive to work
with North Memorial Ambulance Service to find a permanent solution for housing the ambulance service. In order to assure
a good working relationship,the City of Corcoran will review the status of the placement of the Ambulance Service at 8200
County Road 116 on an annual basis,as close to the date of adoption of this resolution as feasible.
Adopted by the City Council this 12th day of April 2001.
