HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1999-57 - Requesting Resignation of Council Member RESOLUTION NO. 1999 -57 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING A RESIGNATION FROM A COUNCIL MEMBER WHEREAS, Corcoran City Councilor William Glowacki was convicted on August 17, 1999 of fifth degree assault, domestic assault, and disorderly conduct; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Corcoran at its special meeting on Friday, August 20, 1999, discussed the conviction of one of its council members; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Corcoran concluded that Councilor Glowacki's conviction would have an adverse and unacceptable impact on both his service as a councilor and the City Council as a whole. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Corcoran hereby requests that City Councilor William Glowacki tender his immediate written resignation from his position on City Council. Moved by member Thomas, seconded by member Bucher. The following voted in favor of said resolution: Mayor Guenthner, Council members Lindsley, Bucher, and Thomas.
