RESOLUTION NO. 1999 - 045
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND SITE PLAN APPROVAL TO
PAUL AND JOEL JORGENSEN TO OPERATE A STORAGE FACILITY WITHIN THE C-2,
GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT,AND TO FACILITATE THE CONSTRUCTION OF THREE (3)
12,000 SQUARE FOOT STORAGE BUILDINGS, LOCATED AT 6XXX COUNTY ROAD 19,
PID #31-119-23 31 0004.
WHEREAS, Paul and Joel Jorgensen have requested a Conditional Use Permit and Site Plan approval to operate a storage
facility within the C-2 , General Business District, and to facilitate the construction of three 12,000 square
foot storage buildings, located at 6XXX County Road 19; and
WHEREAS, on June 3, 1999, the Planning Commission considered the Conditional Use Permit and Site Plan approval
requests and moved to recommend approval with conditions.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Corcoran hereby approves a request by Paul
and Joel Jorgensen for a conditional use permit and site plan approval to operate a storage facility within the C-2, General
Business District, and to facilitate the construction of three 12,000 square foot storage buildings, located at 6XXX County
Road 19, and legally described as on the attached Exhibit"A", subject to the following conditions:
1. Approval of a septic system design and site location by the Building Inspector.
2. Approval of grading,drainage and erosion control plan by the City Engineer and the Elm Creek Watershed.
3. Trash containers to be kept within buildings.
4. Any outdoor lighting to be downcast shoebox style.
5. No outdoor storage shall be allowed.
6. Submittal of a landscaping plan providing for a buffer on the south property line, with the planting of 12 six
foot spruce trees.
7. The driveway, storage area, and parking lot shall be paved.
8. The building is to have 12" overhangs on the gable ends of the building and 24" eaves.
9. The building is to be used for personal residential storage only,no commercial uses.
10. There is to be no commercial businesses operating from these units.
11. The Association rules to be submitted to City Attorney for his approval.
12. That the applicant provide gravel on the north side of the buildings for adequate support of fire trucks,with
review and approval by the City Engineer and Loretto Fire Chief.
Moved by member Bucher, seconded by member Thomas.
The following voted in favor of said resolution: Mayor Guenthner, Council members Bucher, Glowacki, Lindsley,
and Thomas.
The following voted against the same: None.
Whereupon said Resolution was declared carried.

Legal Description:
That part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 31, Township 119, Range 23, Hennepin
County Minnesota, according to the Government survey thereof, lying north of the South 1371.17 feet of the said
Southwest Quarter,measured parallel to the south line thereof, and also lying south of the North 10.00 acres
thereof.
Subject to a 50.00 foot wide easement for Highway purposes over under and across the East 50.00 feet of said
tract measured at right angle to the East line thereof.
