RESOLUTION NO. 2002-15

A RESOLUTION PLACING A MORATORIUM ON APPLICATIONS
FOR PLACEMENT OF PROPERTY INTO AGRICULTURAL PRESERVE
WHEREAS, the preservation of agriculture and rural environment is a desired goal of the
City within certain areas; and
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran is presently reviewing and amending the Comprehensive
Plan and studying existing zoning within the corporate boundaries to identify best suited uses; and
WHEREAS, the Council deems it advisable at this time to place a moratorium on the
placement of land as agriculture preserve until such study is completed;
THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,that a moratorium on the acceptance of applications
for placement within an agriculture preserve shall be and remain in place until such time as the
Comprehensive Plan and Zoning is finalized and adopted by the City of Corcoran.
