A RESOLUTION CLARIFYING AGENDA
PROCEDURES FOR THE CITY OF CORCORAN
WHEREAS, on April 24, 1997 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 1997 - 30, A RESOLUTION
ESTABLISHING AGENDA PROCEDURES FOR THE CITY OF CORCORAN; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to further clarify agenda procedures for the City of
Corcoran.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Corcoran City Council resolves as follows:
1. All matters involving action by the Council coming from the public, staff, or community must
be provided to the City Clerk by noon the Thursday prior to the Council Meeting. If written
materials in support of agenda items are provided after Thursday noon, Council may,but will
not be obligated, to review materials prior to the meeting. An open forum opportunity will
be retained at the second meeting of the month, with a five minute time limit per item.
2. Any member of the Council or the Mayor may place an item on the agenda, when the agenda
is approved on meeting night. Members are advised that the body as a whole may object to
consider items involving controversy or expenditure.
3. Staff or Committees may propose agenda items to be added on meeting night. Such additions
will require a motion and vote, and may be voted on as part of an overall motion to approve
the agenda.
4. Any written information received from the public on meeting night will simply be accepted
by the City Clerk as mail, and will be distributed to the Council, after adjournment, along
with the rest of their correspondence of that week.
Moved by member Glowacki, seconded by member Lindsley.
The following voted in favor of said resolution: Mayor Guenthner, Council members Lindsley,
Glowacki, and Thomas.
The following voted against the same: None.
Whereupon said Resolution was declared carried.
