RESOLUTION NO. 2003-48

A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PARKS AND TRAILS COMIVIISSION
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran owns and maintains public parks within the jurisdictional boundaries
of the City of Corcoran; and
WHEREAS, the City Charter provides for the establishment of Commissions to advise the City
Council with respect to policy formulation for municipal functions and activities; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 9.08 of the City of Corcoran Subdivision Ordinance requires a park dedication
for new subdivisions; and
WHEREAS, it is acknowledged that the significance of the park function is such that it must be
effectively and currently responsive to the citizenry; and
WHEREAS, the City Council and Planning Commission recognize the importance of promoting the
systematic, comprehensive and effective planning of park development and the integration of new
developments into the City's park system;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Corcoran, that Ordinance
No. 188 is hereby adopted, establishing a Parks and Trails Commission for the City of Corcoran.
