A RESOLUTION TO REQUEST AN EXTENSION
FROM THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute Section 473.864, Subd. 1 requires that local units of government adopt the
required modifications within a nine month time period from the date of adoption of the Comprehensive Plan;
and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute Section 473.865, Subd. 3, requires that the local units of government amend
official controls that conflict with the Comprehensive Plan within nine months; and
WHEREAS, the City has prepared a schedule identifying tasks and a time frame to achieve those in order to
complete the implementation of the goals and policies as identified within the Comprehensive Plan.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City of Corcoran is hereby requesting an extension of that nine month
period given the significant changes that are planned to occur within the City.
