RESOLUTION NO. 2004- 83
MOTION BY MEMBER: BUCHER
SECONDED BY MEMBER: THOMAS
WHEREAS, a State General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2004; and
WHEREAS, MN Statute 204B.21, subd.2, requires election judges for precincts in a municipality be
appointed by the governing body of the municipality; and
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran has two voting precincts; and
WHEREAS, the following City of Corcoran residents have agreed to serve as election judges and have
met the qualifications established by the State of Minnesota, or will be receiving training in October and
will be eligible to serve after meeting the qualifications established by the State of Minnesota.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Corcoran hereby appoints the following
persons to serve as election judges for the 2004 General Elections, in addition to the Head Election
Judges and Regular Election Judges that were appointed by the City Council on August 12, 2004, with
the understanding that amendments may be necessary to the appointments in order to fill vacancies and
meet party splits; and approves payment of an hourly wage of $8.00 per hour during election judge
training and time served on election day for regular judges and an hourly wage of$8.50 per hour during
election judge training and time served on election day for head judges.
RETURNING JUDGES: Kathy Huwe, Trisha Sather.
POTENTIAL NEW JUDGES: Karen Johnson, Pat Tadych.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Corcoran this 23rd day of September, 2004.
