RESOLUTION NO. 2004- 65
MOTION BY MEMBER:BUCHER
SECONDED BY MEMBER: THOMAS
WHEREAS, a State Primary Election will be held on September 14, 2004 and a State General
Election will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2004; and
WHEREAS, MN Statute 204B.21, subd.2, requires election judges for precincts in a
municipality be appointed by the governing body of the municipality; and
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran has two voting precincts; and
WHEREAS, the following City of Corcoran residents have agreed to serve as election judges
and have met the qualifications established by the State of Minnesota, or will be receiving
training in August and will be eligible to serve after meeting the qualifications established by the
State of Minnesota.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Corcoran hereby appoints the
following persons to serve as election judges for the 2004 Primary and General Elections, with
the understanding that amendments may be necessary to the appointments in order to fill
vacancies and meet party splits; and approves payment of an hourly wage of $8.00 per hour
during election judge training and time served on election day for regular judges and an hourly
wage of$8.50 per hour during election judge training and time served on election day for head
judges.
RETURNING JUDGES: Randi Beauchane, Linda Benson, Katy Hegg, Marlys Kothrade, Angie
Linguist (Head Judge Precinct 1), Bonnie Maue (Head Judge Precinct 2), Joyce Meister, Sharon
Ratke Ann Scherber, Jan Stieg, Adele Stifter, Roseanne Tessmer, Floyd Thompson.
POTENTIAL NEW JUDGES: Jennifer Cords, Kathy Etzel, Nadine Handl, Mary Hartkopf,
Jacque Lother, Jan Nelson
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Corcoran this 12th day of August, 2004.
