RESOLUTION NO. 2004-44

A RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR A CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, on February 12, 2004 the Corcoran City Council authorized a contract with
The Andersen Group Architects, Ltd. to perform services guiding the city through the formal
bidding process for an expansion to the police department facility and directed the Facility
Committee to proceed with the necessary coordination of the project; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 475.521 (the "Act"), the City held a
public hearing on April 22, 2004 and approved Resolution No. 2004-29 adopting the Capital
Improvement Plan which includes the expansion to the police department facility; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids, bids were received, opened and
tabulated according to law on May 4, 2004, and the following bids (attached as Exhibit A) were
received complying with the advertisement;
AND WHEREAS, it appears that Hunerberg Construction Company of Plymouth
Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORCORAN, HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA:
The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
contract with Hunerberg Construction Company, in an approved format by the City Attorney, for
the improvement according to the plans on filed in the office of the City Clerk, contingent upon a
positive reference check of the Contractor.
