HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2000-46 - CUP Oversized Accessory Structure - Velch s ` City of Corcoran County of Hennepin State of Minnesota RESOLUTION 2000-46 A RESOLUTION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW AN OVER-SIZED ACCESSORY STRUCTURE, ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 6655 COUNTY ROAD 19, PID #31-119-23-24-0006. WHEREAS, Vincent and Laura Velch, owner of the property located at 6655 County Road 19, City of Corcoran, has requested a Conditional Use Permit to construct a accessory structure; and WHEREAS, The Corcoran Planning Commission held a public hearing on July 6, 2000 and there were no questions raised by the public; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission voted 7-0 to recommend approval of the request; and WHEREAS, The Corcoran City Council considers public testimony and the recommendation of the Planning Commission in making a decision. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Corcoran finds the following: FINDINGS OF FACT 1. Surrounding properties have buildings of similar size. 2. Trees have been planted for screening. 3. The building is setback approximately 490 feet from the public road. 4. The property is 9.6 acres in size. 5. A similar use exists on adjacent land. 6. No opposition was voiced at the public hearing. Based on the above findings, the Corcoran City Council hereby issues a Conditional Use Permit to allow an accessory structure, located at 6655 County Road 19, PID #31-119-23-24-0006 subject to the following conditions: 1. No outside storage shall be permitted on the property. 2. No commercial use of the facility shall be permitted. 3. No commercial boarding of animals shall be permitted. 4. Any modification to the use or the facility shall require an amendment to the Conditional Use Permit. 5. The exterior finish should be complementary to the existing structures on the property. Motion by George Gmach, seconded by Dixie Lindsley. Voting in favor: Guenthner, Gmach, Lindsley, and Thomas. Voting against: None Absent: Bucher Upon which said motion was declared carried.
