HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2000-35 - Assessing Services Contract City of Corcoran County of Hennepin State of Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 2000-35 A RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT FOR SERVICES FOR ASSESSING IN THE YEAR OCTOBER 1,2000 THROUGH SETPEMBER 30, 2001 WHEREAS, It appears to the City Council of the City of Corcoran (City) has the right to privately contract for assessing services. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Corcoran that Rolf Erickson and Ann Risch are appointed as the City of Corcoran Assessors for the year October 1, 2000 through September 30, 2001 at a total annual cost of$36,192. Moved by member Ron Thomas,seconded by member John Bucher. The following voted in favor of said resolution: Guenthner,Thomas&Bucher The following voted against the same: None Absent: Lindsley,and Gmach Whereupon said Resolution was declared carried Dated this 22nd day of June 2000. Kenneth Guenthner, Mayor ATTEST: 7,?,Z7te ‘e& Roberta Colotti,City Administrator CITY OF CORCORAN CONTRACT FOR ASSESSING SERVICES This contract is made this first day of October,2000,by and between the City of Corcoran,Hennepin County,Minnesota (hereinafter called the"Municipality")and The Greater Northwest Office of Real Estate Assessment,P.O. Box 581863, Minneapolis,Minnesota 55458-1863,a Minnesota partnership(hereinafter called the"Contractor") The Contractors represent that they are Licensed Minnesota Assessors as required in Chapter 273 of Minnesota Statutes and that they are qualified real estate appraisers. ASSESSING SERVICES: The Municipality hereby contracts for and the Contractors hereby agree to cooperate with officials of the Municipality and the County of Hennepin in performing 2000 assessment services as defined in Minnesota Statutes. The Municipality agrees and acknowledges that the manner and the method used in the performance of the assessment duties will be under the control and direction of said Contractors. CONTRACT PRICE: In consideration of the services rendered by the Contractors,the Municipality shall pay to the Contractors at the above stated address,the sum of S36,192,payable in twelve(12)installments of$2,880 beginning by the last day of October,2000 and ending by the last day of September,2001. The following services are to be billed separately on a one time basis. NONE. In order for any increase to be effective for the 2002 contract the increase must be presented to the city council on or before May 1,2001. FURNISHING OF EQUIPMENT: The contractors shall provide all transportation necessary for the performance of the services contracted for. The Municipality shall furnish all equipment and supplies necessary for the performance of the services contracted for,including a current set of aerial photographs and Hennepin County Data fee. A'I'TENDANCE AT COUNCIL MEETINGS: The Contractors shall attend the local board of review meeting on the date selected by the Municipality and the Contractors and not to exceed three other Municipality council meetings during the term of the contract. LEGAL STATUS: The parties agree that the Contractors are not required to maintain office hours,shall not receive retirement benefits,health insurance benefits,or any other fringe benefits offered to employees of the Municipality and shall,in all respects, be deemed independent contractors.
