A RESOLUTION TO PREPARE THE 2008-2013 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN
,
WHEREAS
the City of Corcoran determined at its regular April 12, 2007 city council meeting
that the Schendel Farms development was premature pursuant to Section 925 of the City of
Corcoran Municipal Code; and
,
WHEREAS
Section 925 cites that a subdivision is premature if it is “Inconsistent with the Capital
Improvement Program”; and
,
WHEREAS
the current “City of Corcoran, 2004/09 Capital Improvement Plan” adopted April 22,
2004, via Resolution No.2004-29, does not list any expenditure of public funds to construct public
improvements necessary to service any development within the Metropolitan Urban Service Area
(MUSA); and
,
WHEREAS
the lack of a complete and accurate Capital Improvement Plan, does not allow the
City of Corcoran to fully implement its 2002 Comprehensive Land Use Plan;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED
that the Corcoran City Council does hereby authorize
the City Planner to prepare by September 1, 2007, a draft Capital Improvement Plan for the years
2008-2013, for consideration during its 2008 budget review process. And that a final Capital
Improvement Plan for the years 2008-2013 shall be adopted by the City of Corcoran by January 15,
2008.
