RESOLUTION 2000-67
A RESOLUTION FOR VARIANCE
TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION OF AN ACCESSORY BUILDING WITH A 35' SIDE YARD
SETBACK BUILDING FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 19908 ABILENE LANE, PID #26-119-
23-41-0007.
WHEREAS, Glen Krause, the owner of the property located at 19908 Abilene Lane, City of
Corcoran, has requested a variance to construct an accessory building with a 35' side yard setback; and
WHEREAS, The Corcoran Planning Commission held a public hearing on September 7, 2000 and
there were no questions raised by the public; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission voted 5-0 to recommend approval of the request; and
WHEREAS, The Corcoran City Council considers public testimony and the recommendation of
the Planning Commission in making a decision.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Corcoran finds the
following:
FINDINGS OF FACT
1. The property is zoned R-1
2. The property has limited space to construct an accessory building.
3. The accessory building will be served from the existing driveway.
4. The building is 480 square feet in size.
5. There is a privacy fence that provides some screening of the building.
Based on the above findings, the Corcoran City Council hereby approves a variance to allow an accessory
structure with a 35' side yard setback, located at 19908 Abilene, PID #26-119-23-41-0007 subject to the
following conditions:
1. Access shall be provided via the existing driveway
2. The detached garage shall match the existing structure on the lot.
3. A privacy fence or similar screening as sited in the findings of fact be maintained in perpetuity, along
the eastern property line.
Moved by Councilor Lindsley, seconded by Councilor Thomas.
The following voted in favor of said resolution: Guenthner, Lindsley, Thomas, Gmach and Bucher.
The following voted against the same: None
Whereupon said Resolution was declared carried.
