HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2000-64 - Adopting Ordinance 159 - Setting Mayor and Council Salaries Resolution No. 2000-64 "Adopting Ordinance NO. 159 - Setting Mayor & Council Member Salaries." City of Corcoran County of Hennepin State of Minnesota WHEREAS, in consideration of the capital improvement and program needs of the City of Corcoran in the years 2001 and beyond; and WHEREAS, the City Council must set it's salary prior to the general election; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to reduce its salary for the years 2001 and beyond. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Corcoran that the Ordinance number 159 "Setting Mayor& Council Member Salaries" is hereby adopted. Moved by member Lindsley, Seconded by member Thomas. The following voted in favor of said resolution: Guenthner, Bucher, Lindsley and Thomas. The following voted against the same: None Excused Absent: Gmach Whereupon said Resolution was declared carried. City of Corcoran County of Hennepin State of Minnesota ORDINANCE NO. 159 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO SALARIES OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEMBERS WITHIN THE CITY OF CORCORAN, MN. The City of Corcoran City Council ordains as follows: The City of Corcoran City Ordinance is amended as follows: Salary of the Mayor From and after the passage of this Ordinance, and until otherwise changed pursuant to the law, the salary of the Mayor of the City of Corcoran shall be in the sum of$150 per month. Salary of the Council From and after the passage of the Ordinance, and until otherwise changed pursuant to law, the salaries of the Council of the City of Corcoran shall be in the sum of$100 per month. Effective Date of Salaries The above-referenced salaries shall be effective January 1, 2001. This Ordinance shall have full force and effect upon its passage and publication.
