HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2000-51 - Pioneer-Sarah Creek Watershed - Elm Creek Watershed City of Corcoran County of Hennepin State of Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 2000-51 A RESOLUTION NOTIFYING PIONEER-SARAH CREEK MINATE ITS AGREEMENT & THE CITY OF CORCORAN (CITY)REQUESTS TO TE NOTIFYING THE ELM CREEK JOINT POWERS WATERSHED THE CITY REQUESTS TO ENLARGE THE DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran is a member of two watersheds,known as the Elm Creek and the Pioneer-Sarah Creek Watersheds; and WHEREAS,there is a small portion of the City that is not in either watershed; and WHEREAS,the City wishes to have all of it's territory entered located in the Pioneer-Sarah Creek both Watershed and the following facts exist shed. property Watershed and located outside of any 1. The Elm Creek Joint Powers Watershed shall complete that Pioneer-Sarah Joint Powers Watershed. 3. The Elm Creek Joint Powers Watershed is hereby petitioned to accept the full territory of the City into its watershed. 4. The City of Corcoran is current on all dues and claims owed the Pioneer-Sarah Creek Joint Powers Watershed. • Moved by member George Gmach,seconded by member Ron Thomas. • The following voted in favor of said resolution: Guenthner,Gmach,Lindsley and Thomas • The following voted against the same:None • The following was absent:Bucher • Whereupon said Resolution was declared carried. WHEREAS , the City of Corcoran is a member of two watersheds, known as the Elm Creek and the Pioneer-Sarah Creek Watersheds; and WHEREAS, there is a small portion of the City that is not in either watershed; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to have all of it’s territory entered into the Elm Creek Joint Powers Watershed and the following facts exist for both the property located in the Pioneer-Sarah Creek Watershed and located outside of any watershed. 1.The area to be added is contiguous to the existing Elm Creek Joint Powers Watershed. 2.The representatives of the existing Elm Creek Joint Powers Watershed can feasibly administer the area proposed for inclusion in the Elm Creek Watershed. 3.The combination would be conductive to the public health and welfare through coordination of review of all property located within the City of Corcoran. 4.A map of the affected area is attached (Map of entire city).
