A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT
FOR SHARING COSTS OF A SEMAPHORE AND STREET LIGHTING AT THE
INTERSECTION OF COUNTY ROAD 116 AND HACKAMORE ROAD IN HENNEPIN
COUNTY
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has agreed to install a semaphore and street
lighting at the intersection of County Road 116 and Hackamore Road; and
WHEREAS, the semaphore and street lighting are located on a common border
between the Cities of Medina and Corcoran; and
WHEREAS,. the City of Corcoran and the City of Medina agree to share equally
the costs for the electrical supply to the semaphore and street lighting; and
WHEREAS, the City of Medina agrees to act as custodian for the payment of
costs incurred under this agreement to collect one -half (1/2) thereof from the City of
Corcoran, and to remit payment to the appropriate parties;
NOW THEREFORE, it is agreed between the Cities of Corcoran and Medina as
follows:
1. The City of Medina shall pay the electrical bill monthly and submit a
statement, with appropriate accounting, to the City of Corcoran for
collection of its share, and the City of Corcoran shall remit said amount
within thirty (30) days;
