Home My WebLink AboutResolution 2012-29 - Appointing Election of JudgesCity of Corcoran County of Hennepin State ofMinnesota '4 f June 14, 2012 RESOL UTION NO. 2012 -29 MOTION BY MEMBER: Milbrandt SECONDED BY MEMBER: Asleson A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION DAY .FUDGES AND ABSENTEE BALLOT BOARD JUDGES FOR THE 2012 ELECTION CYCLE WHEREAS, a State Primary Election will be held on August 14, 2012 and a State General Election will be held on November 6, 2012; and WHEREAS, MN Statute 204B.21, subd.2, requires election judges for precincts in a municipality be appointed by the governing body of the municipality; and WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran has two voting precincts; and WHEREAS, the following Minnesota residents have agreed to serve as election judges and have met the qualifications established by the State of Minnesota, or will be receiving training prior to the elections and will be eligible to serve after meeting the qualifications established by the State of Minnesota; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Corcoran hereby appoints the following persons to be eligible to serve as election judges for the 2012 Primary and General Elections, with the understanding that tendments may be necessary to the appointments in order to fill vacancies and meet party splits; and approves payment of an hourly wage of $ 9.00 per hour for elections judges and, $ 9.50 per hour for head judges during election judge training and time served on election day.
