Corcoran Parks and Trails Commission Minutes
February 19, 2026 - 7:00 pm
The Corcoran Parks and Trails Commission met on February 19, 2026, at City Hall in Corcoran, MN. Present
were Commissioners Anderson, Christenson, Erzberger, Nybo, Schmidt, Strehler, and Walsh.
Present at City Hall was Parks and Recreation Manager Christensen Buck and Community Development
Administrative Assistant Gellman.
1. Call to Order / Roll Call
Chair Christenson called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
2. Pledge of Allegiance
Chair Christenson invited all in attendance to rise and join in the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Agenda Approval
Motion: Made by Anderson, seconded by Nybo, to approve the agenda as presented for February 19, 2026,
Parks and Trails Commission Meeting.
Voting Aye: Anderson, Christenson, Erzberger, Nybo, Schmidt, Strehler, and Walsh.
(Motion carried 7:0)
4. Minutes
Motion: Made by Anderson, seconded by Nybo, to approve the minutes for December 18, 2025, and January
16, 2026, Parks and Trails Commission Meetings.
Voting Aye: Anderson, Christenson, Erzberger, Nybo, Schmidt, Strehler, and Walsh.
(Motion carried 7:0)
5. Open Forum – Public Comment Opportunity
(None).
6. Presentations
a. Heritage Park Update
Parks and Recreation Manager Christensen Buck presented the Staff Report.
There was general discussion between the Commission and Parks and Recreation Manager Christensen Buck
about the Heritage Park construction progress.

Commissioner Schmidt asked if the Commission would be part of planning the grand opening of the new
Heritage Park building.
Parks and Recreation Manager Christensen Buck said the Commission could decide how they would want to be
involved.
Vice Chair Erzberger asked about the Commission’s future involvement in park planning.
Parks and Recreation Manager Christensen Buck explained the Commission will have a joint work session with
the City Council with a presentation from Three Rivers Park District and then a presentation from HKGi regarding
park planning on March 12, 2026.

9. Reports/Information
a. Planning Project Update
Community Development Administrative Assistant Gellman gave a brief update.
There was general discussion between the Commission and staff and the Planning Project Update. Community
Development Administrative Assistant Gellman said he would follow up with the Commission on some of the
planning questions they had.
b. Parks, Recreation, and Trails Update
Parks and Recreation Manager Christensen Buck presented the Parks, Recreation, and Trails Update.
Commissioner Walsh expressed interest in having a refrigerated rink in the city.
10. Subcommittee & Miscellaneous Reports
a. Garden Club Report
Commissioner Anderson and Parks and Recreation Manager Christensen Buck gave an update.
a. Park Dedication Fund
Parks and Recreation Manager Christensen Buck supplied the most recent Park Dedication Fund numbers.

Motion: Made by Christenson, seconded by Walsh, to adjourn the meeting at 7:46 pm.
Voting Aye: Anderson, Christenson, Erzberger, Nybo, Schmidt, Strehler, and Walsh.
