WHEREAS, Greg Ebert, owner of Lil J� Korner at 9350 County Road 19, Corcoran MN wishes to
sell assets and transfer tobacco license per attached letter to Norman Burling, opera.ting as Storman's
and the projected date of sale is January l, 2008. The current tobacco license is in effect from July l,
2007 to June 30,2007.
WHEREAS, per Chapter of 114.03 of City of Corcoran Ordinance, "No transfer of any license to
another location or person shall be valid without the prior approval of the City Council".
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Corcoran hereby authorizes the
tobacco license of Lil Jax Corner at 9350 County Road 19, Corcoran, MN be transferred to Norman
Burling,operating as Storman's.

Let this letter serve as my notice of intent to sell the assets of Lil J� Korner at 9350 County
Road 19, Corcoran, MN 55357, to Norman Burling, operating as Storman's . The projected date
of sale is January 1, 2008.
All appropriate licensing for this business location shall become the responsibility of the new
owner, effective with the date of sale.

contain the full name of the applicant, the applicant's residential and business addresses
and telephone numbers, the name of the business for which the license is sought, and any
additional information the City deems necessary. Upon receipt, the Clerk;'Treasurer shall
forward the application to the Police Department for the purpose of conducting a
background check on the applicant. The Police Department shall have ten (10) days
complete the background check and upon its completion, shall forward the application
and investigation results to the City Council for action at its next regularly scheduled
council meeting. If the Clerlc/Treasurer shall determine that the application is
incomplete, he or she shall return the application to the applicant with notice of
information necessary to make the application complete.
2. Action - The City Council may either approve or deny the license, or it may delay action
for such reasonable period of time as necessary to complete any investigation of the
application or the applicant, as it deems necessary. If the City Council shall approve the
license, the Clerk/Treasurer shall issue the license to the applicant. If the City Council
denies the license, notice of the denial shall be given to the applicant, along with a notice
of the applicant's right to appeal the decision.
3. Terrn—All licenses issued under this Code shall expire on June 30 of each year.
4. Revocation or Suspension — Any license issued under this Code may be revoked or
suspended as provided in the Violations and Penalties section of this Code. _ � .

�'6. Moveable Place of Business —No license shall be issued to a moveable place of business.
Only fixed location businesses shall be eligible to be licensed under this Code.
7. Display— A1 licenses shall be posted and displayed in plain view of the general public on
the licensed premises.
8. Renewals — The renewal of a license issued under this section shall be handled in the
same manner as the original application. The request for renewal shall be made at least
thirty days, but not more than sixty days before the expiration of the current license.
114.04 FEES
I�ro license shall be issued under this Code until the appropriate license fee shall be paid in full.
The fee for a license under this Municipal Code shall be $150.00 per year. Initial license
applications covering a period of less than one year shall be charged a fee calculated on a
monthly pro-rata basis.
