A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A
SEDIMENT AND EROSION CONTROL ENFORCEMENT POLICY
WHEREAS,the City of Corcoran has adopted an Ordinance, Section 950 - Erosion Control that
requires that prior to any disturbance of earth material within a subdivision that the subdivider
must submit a plan and shall abide by the necessary erosion control methods set forth within that
plan; and
WHEREAS,it has been determined that construction activities can take place in the absence of
a subdivider, and therefore it is crucial that the City still have the ability to control and manage
erosion control within the City of Corcoran.
NOW,THEREFORE BE RESOLVED,that in the event that construction site issues occur,
including,but not limited to, construction traffic causing soil and silt debris to accumulate on
public streets, erosion control fencing not being maintained or functioning properly, construction
debris is not contained within a covered dumpster, storage of construction material is located
within a public right-of-way, that the City or the Building Inspection Department shall have the
authority to issue a"Stop Work Order"on the construction site until the problem is corrected.
