RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
ON A PROPOSED MODIFICATION TO THE DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAM FOR MUNICIl'AL DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. 1.
WHEREAS,the City of Corcoran(the"City")cumendy adminisbers Municipal Development District
No. 1 (the"Project Area")within the City;and
WHEREAS, the City has contemplated using tax increment financing (""TIF") in order to facilitate
the development of certain property located in the City (the "Property"), all pursuant to Minnesota Statutes
Sections 469.124 through 469.134, as amended, and Sections 469.174 through 469.1799, as amended
(collectively,the"Act");and
WHEREAS,the Property is not currently located within the geographic area of the Project Area;and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to consider a modification to the Development
Program for the Project Area to enlarge its geographic area, and to hold a public hearing thereon in
accordance with the Act
NOW,TI-�EREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by�e City Council of the City of Corcoran,that:
l. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to cause to be prepared a
modification to the Development Program for the Project Area, and to file a copy of this document in City
Hall.
2. The Administrator is authorized and directed to select the date for a public hearing at a
regulaz or special City Council meeting, regarding the proposed modification to the Development Program
for the Project Area. The notice shall be in substantially the form attached as E�chibit A and shall be
published in the City's official newspaper at least 10 days but not more than 30 days prior to the public
hearing,and sha11 include a map of the Project Area. Published notice should be sufficiently conspicuous in
size and placement to distinguish the notice from the surrounding text. The City must make the information
available in printed paper copies and,if possible,on�e Internet.
3. The Administrator is authorized and directed to transmit a copy of the proposed modification
to the I?evelopment Program to the County Auditor and the clerk of the relevant School Board,and to take all
other actions necessary to bring the modified Development Program before the City Council at�e time of the
public hearing.
