RESOLUTION 2006-25

A RESOLUTION TO TRANSFER JURISDICTION OF
INDIVIDUAL SEPTIC TREATMENT SYSTEMS IN THE
CITY OF CORCORAN TO HENNEPIN COUNTY
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran has provided standards for regulating individual
sewage treatment systems (ISTS) in efforts to provide safe means of sewage treatment
and disposal;and
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran from time to time amended such standards through
adoption of ordinances, most recently Cha,pter 50, which addresses design, installation,
and maintenance of ISTS to protect the health, safety and general welfare of the public;
and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City's current ordinance Chapter 50, as
amended in January 2006,is repetitive of Hennepin County Ordinance No. 19.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOL'VED,that the Corcoran City Council does hereby
seek to abandon their jurisdiction and transfer such jurisdiction to Hennepin County
effective January 1, 2007; and
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Corcoran sha11 cooperate fully in
providing all necessary records and documentation to Hennepin County regarding
individual septic treatment systems within the City of Corcoran.
