A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING GRANT FUNDS FROM THE IVIINNESOTA EMERGENCY
SERVICES BOARD (MESB) FOR FUNDING OF PORTABLE RADIO UNITS
WHEREAS, the Corcoran City Council recognizes that in December 2008, the Police Department and
Public Works Department co-authored a grant application to the Minnesota Metropolitan Emergency
Services Board (MESB) for funding of portable radio units.
WHEREAS, the Corcoran City Council is pleased to know that the City was approved $6,036.16 in
grant funding.
WHEREAS, the Corcoran City Council that in order to take advantage of a $200 per radio promotion
an order must be placed on 0')/13/09.
WHEREAS, the Corcoran City Council understands the City's estimated cost is $2,187 and absorbed
as pall of the Public Works 2009 operating budget.
WHEREAS, the Corcoran City Council realizes that in the begi�uling of 2010, the annual maintenance
will be approximately $1,000, which will be reflected in the Public Works budget.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Corcoran City Council accepts grant funding and
authorizes Mayor Ken Guenthner and Police Chief Sean Gormley to execute tl7e sub -grant agreement
between the City of Corcoran and Metropolitan Emergency Services.
