RESOLUTION NO. 2009-41

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONTRACT AWARD FOR SHANNON LANE
CULVERT NO. 27J47
WHEREAS, Pursuant to advertisement for bids for the Shannon Lane Bridge
Improvement, and
WHEREAS, The Engineer has verified GL Contracting, Inc. is the lowest
responsible bidder, and
WHEREAS, Approved plans show easements are necessary for the project, and
WHEREAS, City has negotiated in good faith for easements, and
WHEREAS City has documented a safety concern with the structural integrity
of the bridge, and
WHEREAS City has Right of Entry agreements for the properties;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1)The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into
a contract with GL Contracting of Medina, MN and
2)The City will pursue permanent easements thru further negotiation or
eminent domain if necessary.
The county board or city council must pass a resolution accepting the terms of the grant, agreeing
to pay any costs in excess of the grant amount and to return any unused portion. A copy of the
resolution must be submitted to SALT.
