Grabowski Hudok A RESOLUTION COMMITTING TO THE REPLACEMENT OF THE SHANNON LANE CULVERT (BRIDGE N0.91278) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran has determined that Bridge No. 91278 on Shannon Lane (MUN 55) is a high priority and requires replacement as soon as possible, and fail, and WHEREAS, Bridge No. 91278 is a large steel culvert that progressively is deteriorating and beginning to WHEREAS, local roads play an essential role in the overall state transportation network and the City of Corcoran intends to maintain the safety of Shannon Lane, and WHEREAS, Shannon Lane is a public street, and replacement of Bridge No. 91278 is necessary to maintain the health, safety, and welfare of the public, and WHEREAS, State support for the replacement or rehabilitation of local bridges continues to be crucial to maintaining the integrity of the local road systems and is needed for the City to proceed with the replacement of the high priority deficient bridge described above, and WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran intends to proceed with replacement of this bridge as soon as possible and use State Transportation Bond Funds if available. BE IT RESOLVED, that City of Corcoran commits that it will proceed with the design and contract documents for replacement of this bridge in order to permit construction to take place as soon as the necessary funds are obtained, preferably consisting of State Transportation Bond Funds.
