RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE SEPTEMBER 99 2008
PRIMARY ELECTION AND NOVEMBER 49 2008 GENERAL ELECTION
WHEREAS, A State Primary and General Election will be held on September 9, 200 8 and November 4,
2008 respectively; and
WHEREAS, MN Statute 204B.21, subd.2, requires election judges for precincts in a municipality be
appointed by the governing body of the municipality; and
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran has two voting precincts; and
WHEREAS, the following City of Corcoran residents have agreed to serve as election judges and have met
the qualifications established by the State of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the following candidates for election judge will be receiving training in August and will be
eligible to serve after meeting the qualifications established by the State of Minnesota,
WHEREAS, the Corcoran City Council reviewed this item at their meeting on August 14, 2008; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Corcoran hereby appoints the following persons
to serve as election judges for the Primary and General elections of 2008, with the understanding that
amendments may be necessary to the appointments in order to fill vacancies and meet party splits; and
approves payment of an hourly wage of $8.50/hr for election judges, $9.00/hr for Head Judges during
election judge training and time served on election days.
